The weekend, November 7th to 10th, saw the last stop of the European Tour of Bodyboard (ETB) in Mehdia Beach, Kenitra, Morocco.
Local rider Anas Haddar dominated the Men’s final, finishing with an impressive combined score of 17.50 points, surpassing Spanish world champion Armide Soliveres, who scored a total of 15.15 points.
Haddar stood out with waves rated 8.00 and 9.50, demonstrating his mastery and tenacity against high-level competitors. His final opponent, Soliveres, nevertheless finished in style this season by adding the title of European champion to his recent world coronation.
With a great energy and placing top waves to the scores, Portuguese Eduardo Macedo finished third in the event, with 12.65 points. In fourth, with 10.85 points, another local rider, Chajri Badr Eddine.
Among the Women, the suspense was at its height with a contested final between the Portuguese Teresa Padrela and the Moroccan Soukaina Aghouali. Padrela won the European title by winning the contest with a total score of 14.40 points, edging Aghouali in the final heat by just 0.40 points.
With 13.15 points, Luana Dourada placed third in the event and became European vice-champion at just 15 years old. Mar Suanzes, from Spain, scored 12.05 points and ended up being fourth.
In the Men’s Junior, the Moroccan Adam Elmoutawakil shone by obtaining the place of European vice-champion with a total score of 12.30 points. Spaniard Mauro Bolanos won the event with 13.25 points and became the 2024 European Junior Champion.
Yubal Pérez, from Spain, was third in the event, while the amazing little ripper from Portugal, Vicente Campos, ended up being fourth in the final. Vicente was on top form during the entire tour, making three finals out of three events, and finished as European vice-champion.
