The 2026 Pascuales Bodyboard Pro (more here) played an important role in shaking up the IBC World Tour rankings, boosting the riders who made it far in the competition!
History in the making: Kalani Favela made magic and became the first Mexican bodyboarder to win a men’s world tour event. But that’s not all.
With his 3rd-place finish at the Mexican event, Pierre-Louis Costes joined Guilherme Tâmega as the only riders in History to make 60 world tour podiums. That’s a truly crazy milestone, my friends.
From Brazil to Australia, Spain to the Maldives, Puerto Rico and Peru, and iconic venues like Nazaré, Frontón, Pipeline, and Arica, the French Prince has officially secured podium number 60 during the Pascuales Bodyboard Pro.
“Honestly, it’s something very special. To have dedicated my entire career to bodyboarding and to be close to matching Guilherme Tâmega—whom I grew up watching and who, to me, is the greatest competitor of all time; he is my idol—having my name mentioned alongside his is an achievement in itself. I am very grateful to be in this position,” Pierre said.
Let us finish by saying the first podium for PLC was in 2007, so he’s been at the top of the sport for 19 years now – beating Guilherme’s record of most consecutive years inside the world tour top 10 (which was of 18 years).
