After the first stop held in Carcavelos Beach, the European Surfing Federation and the European Tour is now heading a little bit up North the coast, to the beautiful Santa Cruz, also in Portugal, for the second stop of the year (the 1st for the men’s).

2026 promises to be spectacular with six stops across Europe and beyond. The kick off was made in Carcavelos, and Morocco will be closing the tour later in November (date and location to be confirmed, according to the ESF).

July 20-22 – Santa Cruz, Torres Vedras, Portugal
September 25-27 – Anglet, France
October 7-10 – Los Realejos, Canary Islands, Spain
October 11-14 – Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain
November – Morocco (date and location to be determined)

Santa Cruz will be helding the stop number two in the current season with the event being a part of the local favourite sports Festival Ocean Spirit. Last time The European Tour of Bodyboard crossed Santa Cruz was in July 2017, with Alex Uranga, from the Basque Country, taking the win after beating Portuguese Ricardo Rosmaninho in the Open Men’s final.

The Junior division had two Portuguese fighting for the trophy, with Rodrigo Lopes overcoming Joel Rodrigues after a very intense and competitive final heat. Who will win this year?

The previous season crowned Filipa Freitas (Portugal) in the Junior Women; Luana Dourado (Portugal) in the Open Women’s; Armide Soliveres (Spain) in the Open Men’s; and Vicente Campos (Portugal) in the Junior Men’s.
