Following the Men’s medals (results here), the Panamerican Surfing Games 2024 delivered the Bodyboarding Women final in Punta Rocas (Lima, Peru).
With the top two waves of the final, a 6,83 and a 6,17 points, Maylla Venturin, from Brazil, went to first place and conquered the gold medal of the Panamerican Games for the first time in her career.
Maíra Viana, also from Brazil and the 2024 IBC World Champion, placed second needing a 7,73 points ride, while Beatriz Arleo (Colombia), and Luz Marie Grande (Puerto Rico) completed the podium finishes in third and fourth place, respectively.
In the end. Maylla said: “I’m very happy to win this event. It was a dream for me to be here and to win! The Brazilian team is just amazing, with such a good vibe and energy, and that’s what matters. Great waves, just classic. Show! Valeu!”
