The 2019 and 2022 World Champion, Tristan Roberts, from South Africa, just won the Morocco World Championship, first stop of the 2026 IBC World Bodyboarding Tour.
Tristan Roberts, age 29, just conquered the top place of the podium at Anza Point rights, Agadir, Morocco. In the final, the South African beat Chajri Badr Eddine, a local talent, by 15,50 points versus 12,75 points.
“I’m so happy to get this win. It’s been a crazy, unforgettable day and a great event overall. I’m just super stoked to have pulled it off. It’s incredible. Thanks to everyone!”, said the former world champ.
Mr. Roberts, pointed an 8,50 and a 7,00 point ride in the final, but one phase earlier, in the semis, he just went ballistic with an air reverse scoring a total of 17,60 Heat points (out of 20,00), with flashing waves of 7,60 and 10 points, beating Pierre-Louis Costes (France) who scored 16,75 points. A very close Heat but just could advance to the final.

In a very anticipated Heat of the quarter finals, Tristan Roberts also beat Armide Soliveres, from Canary Islands, world champion in 2024, by just 0,85 points.
On the other hand, showing up in Anza in a great form, very confident and taking advantage of all the local knowledge, Chajri Badr Eddine beat Brazilian Gabriel Braga in the first semi final, with 14,00 x 13,25 points. A very disputed Heat with the Moroccan shredder conquering his ticket to the final.
With this win, Tristan Roberts becomes the seventh bodyboarder to claim 10 or more World Tour event wins in the Men’s Pro Division. The last season wins of the South African were in 2024, the Iquique Pro event, and Frontón King being the last one.
Next event confirmed is the Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival, in La Nilda, Antofagasta, Chile, from April 29th to May 10th. Stay tuned.
