The 2022 IBC Bodyboarding World Tour starts in Peru with two junior focused events; junior men and junior women. The first event is the Lurin Pro (11 – 13 March), and is followed up by Marcona Pro Cup Marcobre King of the Sea 2022 (18 – 20 March). Read more.
(Press release) The district of Lurín will be the scene of the first date of the Junior World Tour of the International Bodyboarding Corporation (IBC), which will take place this weekend in the traditional Arica beach. In this way, the fires of the specialty world championship are broken with the presence of the best international athletes.
Countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, the United States, Mexico, Peru, among others, have secured their presence on this season’s tour. For this occasion, the Portuguese Joel Rodríguez, junior world champion 2021 and the Peruvian Maycol Yancee, fifth in the same year in Men and Hannah Saavedra (pictured above), national champion, in the Ladies Division, are favorites to fight in their respective categories for the triumph in route to this year’s crown.
This IBC date will continue in Peru with the Gran Copa Marcona Marcobre Pro 2022, to be held the following weekend on the shores of Ica. Then the tour will continue in Chile, Brazil, Hawaii, Mexico, Portugal, France and Spain.
26 thousand dollars will be distributed in prizes in the two events in Peruvian territory. At the end of the year the participants will choose their best score plus the date of Spain for the Men and Portugal for the Ladies to determine the winners of the two 2022 titles. xxx
