The Erizos Iquique Bodyboard Pro 2022, second stop for the men’s world tour and first for the women’s, distributing a total prize of almost USD70,000, has ended this weekend in great fashion.
Regarding final results, world champion Tristan Roberts has back to the winning modjo by beating Lionel Medina in the final. The South African scored an incredible 19,50 points (10,00 + 9,50) while the Canarian boy pointed out 15,50 points (8,00 + 7,50). In the semis and quarters Tristan beat Chileans Alan Muñoz and Joaquin Soto, respectively.
On the ladies site, Sari Ohhara, also the current world champ, beat veteran Brazilian Neymara in the final heat (11,75 vs. 7,60), after overcoming Isabela Sousa in the semis and Joana Schenker in the quarters. Joana Schenker was the best Portuguese rider in the event (5th overall) while Teresa Padrela – the current Portuguese champ – lost in the Round 5.
In the Junior division, two Peruvians bodyboarders ended competed each other in the final. Maycol Yancce got the win by 0,50 (total score of 12,50 points) while Fabio Saavedra placed second with a total of 12,00 points.
