The 2024 Tand Invitational, which puts a total prize of R50,000 and is considered South Africa’s premier independent bodyboarding speciality event, is due to happen somewhere July, 1st to 30th (window period).

The event has a different format for this year mixing 8 local and 4 international riders (invited by the organization), plus 4 wildcards chosen by a video entry online. A total of 16 participants.

Last yeat the event was won by local boy Wesley Coetzee, but one of the international faces for this years’ edition was unveiled today. And what a surprise.

Nine time World Bodyboarding Champion and pioneer of the sport, Mike Stewart, age 60 now, will officially be attending the event this year! Message of the uncle below.
