Australian Ryan Duck is recovering in hospital after surgery following a stabbing while fishing on a beach at Pacific Palms near Forster on Monday morning.
For those who aren’t familiar with the name, Ryan Duck is a super chill guy and an extremely skilled and versatile 
bodyboarder with a great passion for riding both prone and dropknee stances.
The Newcastle bodyboarder and bar manager, age 35, was on a pre-Christmas trip with mates when he was stabbed while fishing on a beach near Forster.
He has been flown to hospital in a critical condition with multiple stab wounds to his arms and abdomen. He is conscious and talking but has a long road to recovery after allegedly being stabbed four times.
The police said this was a random attack at Pacific Palms and meanwhile a man is in custody and has been charged after the shocking incident.
