The spot of La Guancha in Gáldar (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands) was once again the stage of the Spanish Bodyboard Championship for the seventh consecutive year. The high level demonstrated by all the competitors, added great value to the champions of the 2024 edition.

This new edition of the Spanish national championship crowned Carlos Suárez as the new Spanish champion. In a final with a full Canarian spirit, Suárez won against Amaury Lavernhe, Samuel Brito, and Gabriel Mendoza.

In the women’s final, the two-time world champion Alexandra Rinder added to her extensive record of achievements a Spanish champion title in her career. The podium was completed by Teresa Miranda, Ana Ruano, and María Zarzo.

In the younger divisions, Canarian Mauro Bolaños and the Cantabrian Ana Ruano rose to the top of the box in the under 18. Basque Unax Pascual came on top in the under 16, and the Canary Islands Quimey Zamora and Oliver Lavernhe in the under 14 and under 12, respectively.

One last world to highlight the result in the master division, where the respected and veteran Roberto San Román took the win. In dropknee, Amaury Lavernhe was proclaimed champion of Spain.

Three days of intense competition served to confirm the Spanish Bodyboard Championship as the epicenter of this sport at the national level. Sweet!
