Last Tuesday was a sad day for our community.
The Moroccan bodyboarder Ayoub Adardour left us while practicing one of his passions, spearfishing, in Puerto del Carmen, Tías Municipality, Lanzarote Island, in the Canary Islands.
Ayoub Adardour was a surf and bodyboard fan. In his hometown, Sidi Ifni, in Morocco, he operated a surf school, but over the years spent a lot of time in the Canaries and Basque Country, always searching for the best waves. At the moment he was living in Lanzarote.
In 2021 the Moroccan competed in the Basque Championship and also placed 9th in the Sintra Portugal Pro international event. He also entered in events held in Mundaka, Zumaia and Ereaga, all in the Basque Country.
Last year he competed in the ETB Gran Canaria Pro and reached the final rounds of the event. However, “he made a place for himself in Lanzarote and in our hearts, a friend whose dream was to win the Quemao Class”, according to the organizers of the Spanish invitational event.
Meanwhile, a donation page was built to help his family to get his body home. Contribute and know more on this LINK. Thank you.
Rest in peace, brother.
