What an insane, high-intensity final day for the first Rising Series qualifier of the Junior Men’s Division held in Agadir, Morocco.
It was a day packed with non-stop action, massive swells, heavy currents, and thick fog. Our youngest athletes really had to step up and show what they’re made of – this was a true test of physical grit.
After yesterday’s fog shut down the original schedule, the riders who made it to the finals had to paddle out five separate times today. That is a massive grind, both physically and mentally.
On the final heat, the stage was set to crown the 2026 Morocco World Bodyboard Champion. The final had massive sets, long peeling rights, and four “warriors” who had already survived four grueling heats to get here. Their endurance was on full display in some seriously heavy conditions.
After a back-and-forth battle, the results are in. According to IBC, “This final proved that the future of global bodyboarding is in very good hands. In a razor-thin finish, the win went to the rider who kept the energy at 100% all week.”
Final results:
01. LUCCIANO CAMPOS (Peru)
02. ILAN CHOUARD (Mexico)
03. MOUMOU HAMZA (Morocco)
04. ALBEROLA PEYO (France)
This is just the warm-up! The waiting period for the Men’s Division starts today.
Stay tuned for more.
