Last Saturday, April 20th, the Marginal of Arecibo was the perfect stage for the best Puerto Rican bodyboarders that battled for the win on the Bodyboard Challenge powered by the local federation crew.
The place has been the home for the 2015 and 2018 world champion Jared Houston for, at least, a decade. The South African shredder hasn’t put on a jersey for a year, but the outcome wasn’t so bad.
Here’s what the 34 years old man had to say about his performance:
“Huge day at the @fedsurfpr Bodyboarding challenge in Arecibo. My first contest in about a year and it was awesome to mix it up with some of Puerto Rico’s finest! I walked away with a 2nd in the Open Men’s and a 4th in Dropknee (My first Dropknee competition in 21 years). In plain English, I totally grommed out and surfed 7 heats in one day!”
