The hotly contested, annual Cornish Bodyboard Series event has now become the most credible bodyboard contest in the United Kingdom.
Run by long time competitor Danny Catten, it’s always an event that draws the best bodyboarders in the land. On Saturday, October 26th the waves pumped, with clean 3 foot waves at Portreath, Cornwall. The sun shone and the bodyboarding action was red hot!
In terms of competition, 5x British Champion Damian Prisk showed that he is still the man to beat, delivering a clinic of high tech bodyboarding. His combinations of carving reverse spins, looping rolls and critical forward spins were unmatched.
“My dad was born and raised in the village and my grandad worked at the harbour. I’ve been surfing here since 1990. I’m grateful to compete at this break and take the win. Thanks to Dan Catten and the crew that volunteered their time and made this a special day, and thanks to the boog companies that supported the event”, said Prisk.
