Last Friday the bodyboarders returned to the ocean to take on the powerful waves at Itacoatiara Beach in Niterói for the final of the third stop of the IBC World tour, known as the Itacoatiara Pro 2023.

The forecast for Friday looked good, one of the best of the entire contest window, the perfect scenario to host the final of the event.

And with that in mind the final day was absolutely epic, with Moisés Silva, from Chile, ending up to beat the leader of the ranking, Tanner McDanielt, on his last-minute wave of 8,50 points, taking the first place of the podium.
His twin brother Rodrigo Silva placed third along with Frenchman Ethan Capdeville.

Tanner McDaniel, from Hawaii, is the current tour leader after the South America leg, Moisés comes in second, Tristan Roberts is third, Ethan Capdeville sits in fourth and Maxime Castillo closes the top 5 (for now). Best Portuguese is Joel Rodrigues, in 22nd.

Final: Moisés Silva 14,00 (8,50 + 5,50) x Tanner 12,05 (6,25 + 5,80)
