The Asian archipelago is locking in its spot on the global stage as a Women’s Prime Series, Men’s Rising Series, and Junior Men’s Rising Series stop—this time, debuting at the legendary “Cokes” break.

The IBC World Tour just confirmed the return of one of the tour’s most anticipated and photogenic stops: the Maldives Pro 2026. As the only Asian stop on the tour, the event is back and better than ever with a fresh setup designed to push the world’s best to the limit.

This year’s edition is a massive deal for the Women’s Division, officially earning Prime Series status. This isn’t just about the 3,000 ranking points on the line; it’s a clear sign of the IBC’s commitment to leveling up the women’s side of the sport. Plus, the Maldives will officially kick off the season for the women’s tour with a 25,000 USD purse.

The Men’s Rising Series will offer 2,500 points (25,000 USD), while the Junior Men offers 500 points (2,500 USD).

The big news for 2026 is the move to Thulusdhoo Island, North Malé Atoll, specifically the “Cokes” break. Famous for being one of the most powerful, fast, and consistent rights in the Maldives, Cokes breaks over a shallow reef, delivering heavy barrels that will test the grit of the world’s elite riders.

Maldives Pro 2026 runs from August 11–21.
