A few days ago, the International Bodyboarding Corporation made the official confirmation for the Portuguese fans.

The Sintra Bodyboard Pro Festival is confirmed for the IBC World Tour 2024! The Portuguese event is iconic and features both Men’s and Women’s divisions this year’s edition, marking a significant milestone for bodyboarding in the European continent.

The Sintra Bodyboard Pro Festival holds immense importance for athletes worldwide, as it stands as the only event of its kind in Portugal and continental Europe. Alongside the Gran Canaria Fronton King, held in the Canary Islands in October, this festival adds a dynamic dimension to the tour.

The Portuguese international comp has become a cornerstone of the bodyboarding community, not just in Portugal but across Europe and overseas.

The 28th edition of the event is scheduled to take place from September 3rd to September 8th, promising an unforgettable showcase of talent and skill against the breathtaking backdrop of Sintra’s coastline.

Last year, Sari Ohhara, from Japan, won the Women’s division and became world champion for the second time, while Hawaiian Dave Hubbard won the Dropknee division and Spanish Jorge Hernandez come on top on the Pro Junior.
