Peru, Ecuador and Hawaiian Mike Stewart (60 years old) won, as well the city of Manta, in the Murci Classic 2024.
The best Bodyboard international competition in Ecuador took place in January 23-24, Tuesday and Wednesday, in El Murciélago beach, in Manta.
There is total satisfaction at the conclusion of the Murci Classic 2024. Athletes from Peru, Ecuador 
and the G.O.A.T. Mike Stewart, from the United States, became champions.
“But the city also won, ratifying its status as the Sports Capital. In itself, sports tourism is consolidated, bringing lovers of this discipline from outside Manabí and the country, in addition to exponents from 9 countries. There was reactivation for Manta, without a doubt”, we may read on the local media.
As for the champions of the second edition, the Peruvian Miguel Rodríguez led the Open Division; the Ecuadorian Julio Cedeño, the Dropknee; the Peruvian Hannah Saavedra, the Women’s Division; and Stewart in the Legends Division, where Ecuadorians Francisco Herrera, Fabricio Pinargote, Rigoberto Briones, Fabricio Vera and Luis Chica competed against the 9x world champion.
During the awards ceremony, councilor Mauro Rezabala highlighted the fact the event received the participation of competitors from Peru, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Argentina, Hawaii and the host Ecuador.
Last year Fabio Saavedra, from Peru, took the win both in the Open and Junior divisions (report HERE). xxx
