Presented by the Bodyboard Chilean Federation the “Iquique Mar de Campeones” took place the past weekend (May 6-7).
The National event “Iquique Mar de Campeones” was a true get together of the Chilean Bodyboard community, uniting 160 athletes from six different regions, each one of them qualified via the regional rankings of their regions (the top 10 of each region is able to compete on this event).
The international events ran in past years all over the country have given a boost to the bodyboard scene in Chile. Putting together this event was just a recognition of that.
In the end Michel Copetta won the Dropknee division, Bastia Venegas the Junior, Paloma Freyggang the Open Ladies, and Rodrigo Silva the Open Mens division. xxx
