Time to check the final results of the third edition.

The Caribbean Sea (Playa Bluff, Bocas del Toro, Panamá), for the third year in a row, served as the stage for the international Bocas Invitacional and the tropical bodyboarding meeting. Contest went down on Wednesday and Thursday in very small yet powerful barreling waves.

In the Open Men’s Division, Sérgio Machado (Brazil), winner in 2023, did a great job and reached the final again. However, was 2x World Champ Pierre-Louis Costes (France), fresh with a new sponsorship deal in the pocket, who came up on top, beating the Brazilian with 19,33 points (in a total max of 20) versus 17,34 points.

Maycol “Pirpo” Yancee (Peru), the 2023 pro junior world champion, was third with 17,07 points, and Edwin Nuñez (Panamá) was fourth with 16,03 points. PLC, that pointed a 10 points wave, said:

“One of the best finals I have been part of. Congratulations to all finalists!”

In the Dropknee Division, Jericco Rosero from the Galapagos Islands beat their opponents (Paul Larrier from Barbados; Edwin Nuñez and Jayro Georget from Panamá) and grab in great fashion the Dk 1st place trophy in Playa Bluff.

Junior Division athletes were on fire in the entire comp. In the end Peruvian young gun Maycol “Pirpo” Yancee took the win over Francisco Ferreira (Portugal), Lendon Albus (Aruba) and José Garcia (Panamá).

Veronica Correa (Panamá) placed second with 12,86 points; Dulce Aguero (Costa Rica) stayed in third with 12,60 points; and world tour gladiator Valentina Diaz (Chile) came in fourth with 11,77 points.
