Following a long illness, we were aware of the passing of Héloïse Bourroux, a French bodyboarder and once a great European athlete who conquered several titles.

Héloïse Bourroux was a World vice-champion, four times European champion (ETB), and eight times French bodyboard champion. She was an accomplished waterwoman.

The colors of Guadeloupe and those of the French team will now shine on the waves around the world. She lived with her family in Southwest France.

Her smile and good humor will be missed by all who knew her. She was a fierce competitor and left a inerasable mark in the bodyboarding world.

“At age 46, she leaves a void that will be difficult to fill. And a family we think about very much”, wrote the French Surfing Federation on a public release.

Time to send our deep condolences to her husband, David, her children Naara and Lukas, her family, colleagues and all her friends.

May be she now bodyboarding the perfect and infinite waves of heaven.
