Wouter is a photographer from the Netherlands and on March 15th shot these photos at Tonel in Sagres, Algarve, Portugal.

“Didn’t expect it to be as good as it was this late in the swell season. It happens sometimes but in the last couple of weeks we had back to back swells that are more likely to appear in January”, started by saying the photographer from the Netherlands.

He added that “These big swells seem to appear so offbeat with the more Summer tuned in crowds to leave only a few chargers out there. The result is clear skies, glassy conditions and only a handful of people to enjoy this perfection. Among them was a French guy named Nicolas Moallic. He pulled into some amazing pits on low tide and I shot a couple shots and sequences like this one.”

Enjoy!
