A peculiar PLC wave has gone absolutely trendy on the gram.
In the Bodyboarding world this doesn’t happen very often. Believe us. When filmmaker Jesús Zuñiga from Zudrone Films put his drone in the air and filmed an incredible barrel of the 2x world champion Pierre-Louis Costes he wasn’t expecting in return so many views and engagement. But, you know, sometimes social media go beyond 
what is expected – especially if we take into consideration the bodyboard universe.
As you can confirm on the bottom, the footage is collected from above with great mastery. It is absolutely amazing. Passionate we would add. A long barrel, fully rail controlled by the Frenchman and even has a spit coming out in the end. Just perfect. With no surprise PLC won the event for the third time.
The wave itself is one that Pierre rode during the 2023 Arica Cultura Bodyboard, the same event that is not part of the 2024 world tour, on this specific occasion Pierre competed against South African and also 2x world champ Tristan Roberts during the quarter final round heat. The wave score: 9,50 points.
It’s not even a ten-point-ride, but probably, PROBABLY, is the most watched bodyboarding video ever. No confirmation on this crazy-foolish-nonsense statement, but according to the 10.8 million plays on the original Zudrone post (June 7th, 2023) registered so far, all we have to say is that you’d be hard-pressed to find a bodyboarding video that has been viewed so many times… until this day.
The clip was shared on Vert platform later, on November 29th, having 1.5 million plays (15 times more than our followers) what led the video to reach the top 2 on the most viewed reels of the year within our account. A second publication made by us, on December 31st, claiming this feat, as registered more than 60k views. You may add those numbers to the original post, please.
Obviously, the video just went crazy viral all over. Recorded with a Mavic 3 Pro, slow motion 120FPS 4K, this is by far Zudrone’s most successful post. “It’s my best success ever!”, says proudly the skilled Chilean drone pilot.
